Today’s Bad Advice: dont be afraid to admit when you are wrong
I dealt with an irate client today. Regardless of the reason they are irate, if we made a mistake I own up to it. 10 times out of 10 being honest and upfront, even when you are at fault, makes the situation more tenable. This client in particular, he just wanted to know someone was listening. Once I showed him I was, he was totally fine with the mistake…he just wanted to know about it and know we were on it.
